Error on the theme

hello, this error appears when I go to the shopping cart or directly to the checkout
Theme cannot be previewed because it's missing one of these required
files: layout/theme.liquid, config/settings_schema.json
I lasted all day creating my store and because of that error the whole page was damaged and I had to delete the theme and reinstall it but it continues to appear the same mistake, i need help with this error
